I bought Nissan that I didn’t want. I want the SUV and they just did not wanna sell it to me. They kept shoving this other car off at me and I told him I want to stay with my payments from my other
They told me nothing about how the payments were gonna be. They didnt tell me nothing how much the car was.
They even called my boyfriend at work and asked him if he had $1000 after I already gave him $1000 here I found out they tried to say and I pay $400 for rent which I pay $930. The guy didnt even put the right amount but I paid for the rent or nothing. He tried to put $400 I paid for rent so my payments worth $360 or every two weeks. and they didnt even tell me my car was $43,000 until after I got in the car I was looking at it but then I had to hurry up and get going so I left when I got home found out that the car was that much money and my payments for that much money.
I called them back and I told them about it. Thats the only thing they said to me well you already signed everything we cant do nothing about it anymore so they screwed me over well today. I went and turned the car back in. I parked right over at 199 ride on bluemound Street in Appleton.
because I cannot keep up $800 a month for a car payment. I told them I want to keep them what they were on my other car and they said well work with it. Well try to get as long as we can, then they didnt freaking tell me nothing on the payments or anything. All they had do is rush me in to sign the papers.
They am already on the table all spread part for me to sign every one of them we got all set up for you. Thats what they said, and they are so anxious to get me out of that parking lot after the scrutiny over like they did and apparently the guy that sold me the car got fired after that so lets see what happened then.

Initially, my experience with 99ride was good. It took a while, but they found me a vehicle that I liked and seemed to run fine until I went to a coworker's going-away party, and when I went to leave, the car wouldn't start!
It was terrible timing because I had an interview for a job opportunity the very next day, an hour and a half away in Madison. I had to have roadside assistance tow my car to a nearby repair shop, and they informed me that my main battery and the auxiliary start/stop battery were junk and had been junk when I bought it. They tried to charge the batteries for me so that I could at least make my interview, but they were so dead that they wouldn't take the charge! They told me that these were original batteries and that when I bought the car, the batteries were being read their last rites!
My car is completely dependent on the electrical system functioning properly. So they sold me an overpriced vehicle that is completely dependent on battery power to function properly, with batteries that were going to fail not long after the purchase of the vehicle. I don't think it's a coincidence, and neither does my mechanic, that the batteries failed just after the dealership would've had to replace them free of charge! Instead, here I am, car in the shop waiting for payday so I can afford the $800 to fix it!
Bravo! You're supposed to be helping people with bad credit; I mean, that's what you advertise, and instead, you're screwing them over! I called 99ride and complained, and they laughed at me. You got 3 1/2 months out of it!
What are you *** about?? It's unreal!
No apology, just an evil response to a customer who was hoping to have a reliable vehicle and got bent over on bi-weekly payments, and now this! It's crazy, and obviously, I'm not the only one who's gotten screwed.
- Friendly
- Obviously devious only care about the sell and not the customer

Verified ReviewerDisappointed with dealer
I bought a vehicle from this lot just about 1 week ago. I noticed an issue with the vehicle and of course when I called I was told the repair is not covered under warranty.
Mind you they never even had me bring the vehicle in to do a courtesy look or anything.
Not even been 30 days having issues and no help at all! Not what I expected
User's recommendation: Take your vehicle for service check before purchasing or have someone handy with you
STAY AWAY! Even if it’s your last resort!
NEVER come here, even if you have poor credit. Wasted about 3 hours here.
Laid out the monthly payments we wanted to stick with, said what we did and didnt want, and we were not listened to once. The person who was texting us gave us so much false hope. The ensured that there were vehicles in our price range/monthly payment, they ensured that trade ins were being accepted at high offers, etc. Almost immediately after saying we didnt want specific brands, the salesman told me I didnt know what I was talking about because I wasnt a master in the field.
The brand in particular was Dodge/Chrysler, because of what Ive researched over the years, along with experiences that friends and family have had with Dodge. Immediately disrespected, but moved past it. After hours and repeating what we wanted for our monthly payment, the offer that we were told would be perfect for us (it was our only option) was over TWICE what we had said was within our budget. A lot of repetitive questions kept getting asked, so we assumed that the very least that would have been done is listening to what could be financially afforded.
Never again will we return here. I understand that its a sales persons job to get sales and up sell, but to say our monthly payment is doable and then hard hit our credit with six banks and then say that our monthly payment would be our bi-weekly payment is not ok. Just be up front and honest. Our time was wasted, false hope was given from the get go.
Total opposite experience as to last time, however last time there was a sleezy borderline sexual assault from an employee outside of the business, so either you get screwed against your will literally or financially. This place doesnt care about the customer and fully takes advantage on people who are down on their luck. Curious that this is also the first review on here, looks like they wiped all other reviews.
Red flag after red flag. Learned our lesson and will never be back.
User's recommendation: Look elsewhere
All the complaints
I see all these complaints. Dot says every car dealer is to do an inspection one person said they bought a car and it did not have A cross member under the transmission. I want to know why all these people that are complaining don't complain to dot.

Verified ReviewerBest Dealership in Fox Valley!
#1 Dealership to go through if youve had credit issues. There is a couple options, when financing with bad credit.
This dealership is the by far the #1 option.
Appleton Auto secures your loan through nationally recognized banks. Those banks assure you get a great loan.
The alternative options are buy here pay here lots, and those can charge whatever they want, for the vehicle.
Appleton Auto secures your loan, through a nationally recognized lender, that will not only help your credit, but speaks volumes, when you go to get a loan for a house or anything in the future. This truly helps.

Verified Reviewer |Horrible customer service
I browsed their website as we are looking to buy a vehicle. Received a call from customer service, I explained I lived far and asked if she would at least give me some information/details about inventory before I drive an hour one way.
She said no and asked when Id like my appointment. I said I dont want to set up an appointment unless I know there is something there I would like to view and she immediately hung up on me. If you have something worth selling, a good salesmen sells it and makes it worth the trip.
They couldnt even give me a make or model of any vehicles. Definitely not wasting my time with this company especially after reading their other reviews!
- Horrible customer service
Preferred solution: Nothing.

PUSHY TACTICS
This is their Appleton MO: Pester you until you make an appointment. Lie about the inventory you looked at on their website: "At our site, we don't offer the older models you may have seen." Then they present a vehicle to you with a sticker price way above the cars value, and say they are knocking down the price and will give an inflated trade-in amount to maintain their profit margin.
Their big mistake is that they leave you sitting for 15-20 minutes at a time while the salesman goes into an inner office to do lord knows what. This leaves you time to do some investigating on your phone. While I was test-driving I wrote down the VIN number and checked it out on my phone. The sticker price was about 9,000 above blue book.
I had already checked what I might expect for a trade on my old car, they were offering one which also was very inflated according to bluebook and carfax.
Then I got a text message from my loan officer who essential told me to not sign anything and leave. I did, but not before being confronted by two salesman and told I had no idea what I was talking about.

Verified Reviewer |Waste of time.
Drove 90 mins one way because we were pre approved for no money down. Get there and it 30% or a co signer!
How does it go from 0 to 30? Bait and hook. You'd think the shady car salesperson would be cancelled by now! Then their radio ad is false too.
4000$ over trade in on anything.
Then we bring anything in and it does not qualify! Zach might of been "cool" and all but this place is trash
- Are still open

Verified Reviewer |Only received half of trade in value advertised.
When I purchased a car from 199 ride, I had a car to trade in. A Dodge Avenger i previously purchased fro.
A different 199 lot that ran great but had high miles. The advertisement was 5000 minimum for a trade in so I thought it would be a good time to do so. I was originally offered 2000 and then they "wiggled more" for me by providing 2500.
In all this time, they did not tell me how much and I stupidly assumed 5000. Now I have an extra 2500 on my loan because of false advertising.
- You certainly will leave with a car - shady green bay site closed
- Paperwork will not be correct to register and begging is required
Preferred solution: Price reduction

Verified Reviewer |They lied and cheated my family
I can not stress this enough. Do not buy from this place.
They will rip you off any way and every way they can. once you take the vehicle of the lot. They will not answer your calls and will not return your calls. Even if you leave a message.
Don't expect a call back. I am paying a bunch more money then we originally agreed upon. I'm not talking hundred either I'm talking thousand extra. I swear they change the paperwork or were hiding papers when I signed them so I wouldn't see them.
We discussed a monthly payment with them. I told them how much we could afford and they said yeah no problem we can work with that. I get my monthly payment and it's almost twice what I told him. I have five kids.
My whole financial situation is so bad right now because of it. I don't know how I'm gonna have Christmas for my kids. That's the type of people you're dealing with. They will do anything to get a dollar .
Even if that means destroying a family. They don't even have enough integrity to answer the phone.
Because they know what they did was shady and wrong. Don't be one of there victims don't buy from them.
- Rude prices customer service attitude scammers
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not buy from them

Verified ReviewerWorse customer service ever
I drove 180 miles one way to get a car after they told me on the phone yes they could work with me and my trip down would not be a wasted trip. I understand the the 199 down is just a ploy to get you in the door.
I understand that. but I went in to the store with 800 down and a trade in. talked to the salesman for about 5 minutes. He went to submit paper work while I went to go look a t a few vehicles.
After 5 minutes the salesman comes out and says in not so many words, said they couldn't do anything for me. So I left. They didn't even make an effort.
on top of that, the vehicles i looked at were filthy on the inside and smelled awful. I will never ever visit that establishment again, nor will I reccomend them to any one.
they cost me a whole day and a tank of gas.
Preferred solution: An apology and a tank of gas
User's recommendation: stay away, do not shop here.
